Anyone ever gets annoyed by a kids' action?
I know that I'm supposed to be nice and bear with them but sometimes it gets on my nerves when I encounter one who has no manners at all. I thought I was bad but wow they really proved me wrong!
I have this cousin bout 11 whose parents occasionally left at our house (for my aunt to babysit while they attend some dinner functions). He's really annoying. Everytime I watch tv, he flips it to another channel. If not, he interrupts you mid show by narrating the whole content even before you get to watch it. I told him to shushed up a couple of times but he disregards it. He won't stop talking at all!! Oh gawd. So rite now, I don't watch tv whenever he's there.

I have younger sibs around his age (aged 12 & 7) and whenever they play together, they get annoyed by my cousins' attitude and refused to play with him. They say he never listens to them n all his does is talk even lounder whenever they try to input anything. Its the same with me, whenever I talk to him, he wont' let me fin my sentences, He would just talk even lounder or change topic n etc. I've tried explaining to him that it's rude to do so but he wont' listen. His parents know how he behaves but I dont' think they know what to do about it nmore.

@naughty, im raising a 3y/o toddler, mind u when i go vacation last MAY of this year, i realized how much a toodler seeking for an attention to his parent...i thought playing and giving his fave toys, food is enough, ...but no...he told my mom he wants to talk to me only...coz at night i was used to read my book so i thought once we are in bed he will go to sleep. Really for 2 weeks me and my son like cat and dog. i want him to sleep coz i want to read but his kicking my book, really i dont know what to do that time. Till my mom said that my son want to talk to me he wants me to tell bed time story. That time really i realized that my son is not ordinary boy, at his age he has a sense of what's goin on in the world.
Kids now a days is too much different from our time naughty..lol

Good advice. If only I could tell that to his parents.
I'll probably get yelled by my mom for being such a busybody. lol~~ This is quite a sensitive issue in our family. We all know that his mom spoils him like crazy and gets miffed whenever the other aunts complains about him to her.
I'm just lettin out my frustration here cos I can't do anything about him.

my nephew was a real brat at 7 yrs old, and to me still is, but anyways, my sister had to go to work and could not find a sitter, so I said I would do it.
Now get this, phone rings, and the little brat tries to tip over the book shelf, so I grab him and slap him on the arm and catch a plate that almost fell down.
Boy did my sis ever bitch at me for that, defending the brat, like he could do no wrong...grrrr
Anyways, as soon as she walked out of the house, I turned around to the brat and said," I am not your mother, be sure to remember that, I won' t let you get away with anything!"
He was a good lad all the time his mom got home, then raised hell again....which all means, is lack of discipline on behalf of the parents end!

nope. was never a bad kid. =)
I luv kids. my younger sibs are kids and they can be such brats at times...but at least they know there's a limit to everything. They know when to stop when they are reprimanded. My younger cousin does not so how am I supposed to guide him when he doesn't even listen? I'm just amazed that his parents let him behave in such a fashion...

When he can not hear tell his parents these things they may not yet know that he needs more direction and that he still has to learn his manners.
Where is your Aunt, if she is the one babysiting she should be with him and looking after him. It might be best if she kept him very busy.
If you know he is going to be there plan an activity to hold his attention and keep him entertained, the boy could be starved for attention.

Nah you see, thats where youre wrong. They will change if they want to change, so you can try all those tricks like telling them how dissapointed you are (dont think they really care) or punish them. if they dont want to change because of you then they just wont. Doesnt reflect on the parents at all (nothing they can really do about it), depend on the kid. People wont change when others tell them to whether directly or subtly. We're rebellious in nature except for those few docile creatures. But then, those docile kids, the one with so much pent up childhood frustrations, are the one who will grow up into a self-absorb (insert whatever word pleases you)
