Virus found in ad.
I clicked "My Zorpia" then Avast immediantly found a virus on the ad panel that is on the screen (one of the 4)
avast! Log Viewer:
11/6/2009 7:04:47 PM SYSTEM 1240 Sign of "HTML:Iframe-inf" has been found in "http:/ /d1.openx.org/afr.php?campaignid=54373&what=728x90&cb=1257552286" file.
(just wanted to let the admins know, i know you can't really control what comes through google ads.. but maybe a filter or something?..)
Thank you for your attention :)

Funny you should mentioned that, my AVG 8 did the same thing, I had to close firefox, then sign back in, and no warning from AVG second time around.
Thanks for the info Vaiolust!

I am often helping my friends out over here, and I keep telling them to write down things I show them how to do, but do they listen, noooo...lol

I had Avast before, but at the last of it, it kept find Virus in places I know there was none, and sometimes it did not pick up when it should have.
So now I used AVG 8, works great, the sightless thing and wham, it zaps them.

im avast for life lol.. i have a few friends in high places.. both black hatters and white hatters.. they all go to hackercon in las vegas.. 2 of them have won "spot the fed" (the federal agents trying to hire the best of the best in hacking and antihacking)
the white hatters work for nortan, avast, mcaffee, avg..
the black hatters write the viral source codes.. both kind of at war.. but come together at the convention.. interesting stuff.. but from them, i know to use avast only.. avast is the only antivirus that has no backdoor.. and live scans :)
(not to say avg is bad, its better than nortan lol but what isnt?)

Norton sucks for the space it swallows up on the hard drive....lol
I am good till 1012 with this AVG 8, it has Active programs to protect my computer from viruses, so I am happy.:)

I'm just wondering which pages your going to, where do the links live.
This explains the location
http://www.robtex.com/dns/d1.openx.org.html
I'm suspecting that like all of us with locally served information because of our IP and search history, that the USA is prone to this link, where as the rest of the world might never notice it

yeah of course it is the best AV...i agree with u
by the way i wanna ask u about the virus chest....as u know it contains the infected files...and when i wont to delete them there is no option avilable 4 "mark all"!!
then delete all
I mean u can delete one Infected file in each time and i think this take so much time!!
another thing i want to know ...if i left this infected files without deleting....is it aproblem?
i hope u answer me about all...
Have agood time

The chest only allows you to confirm that it was a virus file, just in case in the unlikely event a error was made, you should never need the chest.
I'm guessing you have the free version, i would expect pro to be able delete all in a single go.
Well constructed antivirals should stop files being run from those locations, it would be a nightmare to go there to delete it and actually run the file.
I use AVG and NEVER check the files, let them be deleted after 10 days or so
